This forum will discuss in-depth issues surrounding the upcoming water allocation review. Three reports by the Alberta Water Council, Alberta Water Research Institute, and Ministerial Advisory Committee will be covered, as well as the potential benefits and stumbling blocks of the upcoming water allocation review. Furthermore, this forum will provide an opportunity for all to learn about the merits and consequences of a new water rights system.
This forum is intended for Bow River Basin Council, stakeholders in Southern Alberta, municipal decision makers, land developers, land trusts, provincial government authorities, irrigators, and water managers. The public is also invited to join the forum, but a firm knowledge of water allocations in Alberta is recommended.
