Strategy? If so, submit your comments to the Alberta Water Council by

Alberta's Water for Life Strategy has been under periodic review by the Alberta Water Council, a multistakeholder provincial-level council. Two reviews made in 2006 and in 2007 indicate implementation has progressed in a number of areas but has failed to meet short-term targets in others.
Shortly after Ed Stelmach became Alberta's new premier, he made a commitment to the public to "renew and resource" Water for Life. But what is meant by a "renewal"? To answer this question, the Minister of Environment Rob Renner asked the Alberta Water Council for recommendations. Now Alberta Water Council is seeking input from all water-using sectors and the public for their view on how Water for Life should be "renewed".
With your input, the Alberta Water Council will collate the responses and develop recommendations for Renner's consideration prior to next year's budget. If you have an opinion on the Alberta Water for Life Strategy, you can complete their online work book or provide a written submission. The deadline for submissions is August 24, 2007.
